"This service is a blessing and Paul is very compassionate and patient. I am a single parent and an only child to my mother who was very sick. I was her only family and since I'd only just moved her up here in 2018, she did not have the opportunity to make many friends. She lived in an assisted living facility and needed to be moved to a long-term care facility. I didn't know HOW I was going to go through her entire apartment, decide what to get rid of, pack up and move her...and work and be a daughter and a mom. I work at the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce and about 2 months ago, Paul with Caring Transitions walked into our office to introduce himself and his business. My jaw dropped to the floor. I had no idea that this service even existed! Paul and I met at my mother's apartment as he patiently went through to determine the amount of work needed. The quote he provided was more than reasonable. All he needed me to do was sort through what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to move to her long-term care facility. He did everything else. He answered my questions as I thought of them and I never felt rushed or pestered to complete my side of the work. Going through your mom's stuff is a very emotional process and he was very patient. He took many items to auction, donated items and removed any trash. He moved items to my mother's long-term care facility. Less than a week later, my mom took a turn for the worse and sadly passed away. Paul came back and removed all of the items without question and with great compassion for my loss. I would recommend this service to ANYONE needing similar help. Paul truly cares about his customers and whatever transition they might be dealing with at the moment. I am so grateful for this service."
